Mel Harris, ABR, AHWD, GRI, e-PRO, GREEN, EcoBroker, SFR, broker associate with Virginia Cook, REALTORS®, serves as the 2010 GFWAR president. Having served as the Vice President in 2009 and Secretary / Treasurer in 2008, Harris is not a novice when it comes to leadership. He was a 2009 presidential appointee for the Executive Board of the Texas Association of REALTORS® and is the 2010 Chairman for the TAR Housing Initiatives Committee. In addition, Harris has been a governor of the Society of Commercial REALTORS® Board of Governors. He served on the Task Force for the TAR Housing Opportunity Fund for the Rebuild Rita Project and was a graduate of the 2006 GFWAR Leadership Class. Known for being green before green was cool, Harris was among the first REALTORS® to earn the National Association of REALTORS® GREEN designation and serves on the Green Resource Council of NAR. In addition, he's served on the NAR Professional Standards Committee and the NAR Housing Opportunity Committee. He's also an MCE instructor. Outside the Association, Harris is an active member of the Tarrant Coalition of Environmental Awareness and the North Texas Chapter of the United States Green Building Council.

Vicky Schoch, sales associate with Williams Trew Real Estate Services, has served in a variety of leadership positions over the past several years, including as GFWAR Secretary / Treasurer in 2009. In the past, Schoch has served on the MLS, Business After Hours, TREPAC, Strategic Planning and Nominating Committees of GFWAR. She was instrumental on the Building Improvements Committee in 2008 and is a graduate of Leadership GFWAR. In 2007, she received the GFWAR President's Award and was presented with the 2008 Marie & Dayton Sheridan REALTOR® Spirit Award. In addition, she is involved with the Swiss Club, the Association of Decorative Painters, URICO and the Flying Pig Dinner Club.

Currently, Bennett is the 2010 Chair of the GFWAR Housing Initiatives Committee and is a member of the 2009-2010 Texas REALTOR® Leadership Program. He served GFWAR as the 2009 chair of the Education Committee and has served on the GFWAR Installation and Grievance Committees in the past. Bennett is an REO certified broker and a board member of the Texas Association of Real Estate Brokers. Also, he is a past president of the Southeast Tarrant County Optimist Club and a past president of the Fort Worth Association of Real Estate Brokers.

Having served the past three years as an officer of the Association, Jones knows the ins-and-outs of the Association. He is a graduate of the Inaugural GFWAR Leadership Class and is a member of the Society of Commercial REALTORS®. Jones is a State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser and has been in real estate for over 25 years. He was a Presidential Appointee during the administration of President George H.W. Bush. Actively involved in the community, Jones has served or is currently serving on the Leadership Council of the American Diabetes Association, the Board of the Youth Orchestra of Greater Fort Worth and on the Board of the American Red Cross. With a love for all things purple, Jones is a TCU graduate.

In addition, she served as the 2008 GFWAR Governmental Affairs Committee Chair. Known for her inspirational messages, Collins-Epps is a national motivational speaker and a TREC instructor. She also is a past president of WCR and a founder of the Morning Star Prayer Center.

Makens is quite active in the Society of Commercial REALTORS®, serving as chair in 2005. He served as chair of the SCR Golf Committee in 2006 and was presented the 2007 Charles D. Tandy Commercial REALTOR® of the Year Award by SCR. Currently, he is chair of the North Richland Hills Economic Development Advisory Board and on the Board of Directors for H.E.L.P. a non-profit, faith-based mission providing food, supplies and education to tribes of Nigeria, Africa.
