Chief Executive Officer: Sherry Matina

Sherry Matina, RCE, CRB, GRI, received her real estate license in 1974, and has led GFWAR since Aug. 1997. Her real estate career has encompassed sales, branch office management, corporate management, mergers and acquisitions and association management. Matina was honored in Feb. 2007 with the Texas Association of REALTORS®’ Tom D. Morton Award for excellence in association management, and in Feb. 2008 with the Omega Tau Rho designation from the National Association of REALTORS®. Matina has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for TAR and served in 2009 on the NAR Executive Committee. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.

Executive Assistant: Debbie Findley

With over 10 years experience as an executive assistant, Debbie Findley reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. She is responsible for preparing the official minutes for the Executive Committee, Board of Directors and SCR meetings. She also serves as the staff liaison to a number of committees, schedules facility rentals and organizes various Association events. In addition, she coordinates GFWAR programs to raise money and support for Greenbriar Elementary School, GFWAR’s Adopt-A-School. Prior to GFWAR, Debbie worked as an executive assistant and controller for Woodcrest Construction Services, a division of Woodcrest Capital, Inc. She graduated from Atlantic Union College in Massachusetts.

Controller: Mary Chilton

With over 20 years of business accounting experience, Mary Chilton ensures that GFWAR stays on track, financially. As Controller, Mary is responsible for all financial reporting for the Association. She oversees the accounting department and is in charge of general GFWAR operations. Prior to her position, Mary was an accounting supervisor at Bass Enterprises Production Company, where she managed all accounting functions for multiple companies and partnerships. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Texas in Austin.

Governmental Affairs: Robert Gleason

With extensive experience in lobbying for REALTOR® causes and private property rights on the local, state and national levels, Robert Gleason handles the governmental affairs for the Association. He is known for his lobbying efforts at City Hall and beyond and works hard as an advocate for the Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee (TREPAC). In addition, he is responsible for conducting political candidate interviews, directing fundraising programs for TREPAC, and communicating Board policy positions to elected officials. Gleason has an M.A. in political science from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Texas in Austin.

As the word-smith at GFWAR, Rebekah LaMontagne is known for her witty communiqués. Her responsibilities include disseminating information to GFWAR members, as well as marketing GFWAR to the community. She is in charge of the newsletter, the GFWAR and SCR Web sites and the social media for both GFWAR and SCR. In addition, Rebekah plans and coordinates many Association events. Prior to her position at GFWAR, Rebekah was an account executive at Stuart Bacon Advertising ~ Public Relations. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Public Relations from TCU.

New Member Development / Education: Meghan Sheehan

Offering expertise in member assistance, Meghan Sheehan has new member appointments down to an art. As the Director of New Member Development & Education, she is responsible for educating and assisting new members and guiding them through the GFWAR new member process. She also is in charge of organizing and coordinating the educational classes held at the Association. In addition, Meghan is responsible for new member recruitment. She comes to GFWAR with experience in the restaurant and banking industries and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in marketing at TCU.

Account Services: Dawn Marie Brown

Providing expertise in a variety of membership and accounting capacities, Dawn Marie Brown has come to be known as the jack-of-all-trades in account services. She is responsible for database management of new members, state and national reporting, accounting procedures, some event registration and membership enrollment of Society of Commercial REALTORS® members and GFWAR affiliate members. Before joining GFWAR, she worked as a Senior Account Executive at Walton Stations of New Mexico, Inc. in Ruidoso, NM. She is a graduate of Eastern New Mexico State University.

MLS / Supra Services: Lee Ann Dempsey

Lee Ann Dempsey has extensive experience in all things MLS. She has worked at GFWAR for over 15 years and is well acquainted with NTREIS and Supra. Her responsibilities include working with our members to answer all MLS and Supra related questions and providing instruction on how to get the most out of the programs available. She also works with Theresa to manage the MLS database, Data Checker, Realist Tax, and the distribution and maintenance of Supra key services. Prior to her position at GFWAR, Lee Ann worked at Child Care Management Services. She attended Tarrant County College.

Billing / MLS Compliance: Theresa Diaz

When it comes to MLS, Theresa Diaz knows the ropes. As the Director of Billing and MLS Compliance, Theresa is responsible for managing membership dues billing and enforcing MLS rules and the accuracy of MLS data. In addition, she is in charge of MLS education at GFWAR and works with Lee Ann to manage the MLS system. Before joining GFWAR, Theresa worked for FDN Corporation as the Business Manager for non-profit retail stores. Theresa attended Northwood University in Desoto, Texas.

IT Support / REALTOR® Store: Richard Lamar

Working part-time at GFWAR in technology services, Richard Lamar is a whiz when it comes to the computer. His responsibilities include technological support for the GFWAR staff and computer assistance. Richard also fills in at the front desk, providing customer assistance to those who call or enter the Association building, and he assists with the REALTOR® store. Prior to GFWAR, Richard worked at Siemens Dematic in technical support. He also has had several contractual jobs in which he has worked to upgrade hardware and migrate data.
